Hi all,
i have a server with the following features:

Server Platform: RedHat 4 ES
Oracle version: 10gR2
Physical Memory: 20 GB
Swap Space: 40 GB

I wonder some suggestions on how to be depicted the parameters to the inside of the file sysctl. conf. At present the configuration is the following one, but seems me ecessive:

kernel.shmall = 2621440
kernel.shmmax = 18253611008
kernel.shmmni = 4096
kernel.sem = 250 32000 100 128
fs.file-max = 658576
net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 1024 65000
net.core.rmem_default = 262144
net.core.wmem_default = 262144
net.core.rmem_max = 1048536
net.core.wmem_max = 1048536

The connections to the database are about 400 every day.

Thanks
Andre

You need a RedHat account to download RedHat software or you can download CentOS or Oracle Enterprise Linux.
