I'm trying to install oracle 9i server and also tryed only to install the client on hpux 11.00 and it fails on the server portion the installation goes well until the db creation and @ about 40% it gives the following error message: Error in invoking target install of makefile /ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/lib/ins_sqlplus.mk the same problem occurs with the client install : Linking Oracle9i client and about 79% gives the same error message.. is there a fix for this one, any help would be great

i am not very whether this works.
dump the oracle9i installation cd in the harddisk and try to install from the hard disk.
It worked for me sometimes.
Make sure you have given all the file system permissions and also, check the swap/temp space (3 x Ram).
