Hi,

Maybe someone can help me with the following question.
I have a production db on sun solaris 2.6. I have a recently got access to a test computer (a PC actually) with Win2K. The machines are in the hands of "not easily to contact" system admins. The sun machine has regrettably a filesize limit of 2G. My production db (1 schema with all objects) is about 40G: so I cannot do a full db export to 1 single file. You probably see my problem, I want to transfer the production db to the test environment, that is all tables, all packages etc.... just all objects ofcourse.
Now, normally, one does a full exp on the source machine, and then one does a full imp on the destination machine. But how can I do it in my situation? Please, any tip or hint will be highly appreciated !!!
Thanks !!!!!

Hello Mr. Jhon,

If in such case, you can opt full backup utility. Do the full backup and restore it to the test machine. That could solve your problem.

Thanx,
Anil.
