hi Nita,
1 M of redo log file size is sufficient. There will be a logswitch if more than 1 M of redo is generated. You can increase the size of your redo file but it will be not used fully and hence redo wastage will be increased.
What I feel is 1M is sufficent , just check it out the time between log switches.
Moreover if logfile size is more and there is no checkpoint for long time it may take long time to recover the database.
