Hi there!

One of our customers reported a heavy performance problem with our Oracle System.
He uses the Oracle 8 RDBMS to fetch reports of our Automatic Call Distribution System.
I checked this out and the result was a pingtime of 45 - 60 seconds, even on the local Oracle System!!!!

Did anyone of you have had such problem, or know how to help???

Thank you in advance! (And sorry for that bad english :-) )

Jan

Well,
that looks to me like a network problem. More precisely DNS problem, check your $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora for any entries that will refer to your machine as machine.domain.de and replace it with entry which is in your /etc/hosts .
If any further help needed, email me on rbiciste@mac.com

P.S. Yes, I use Macs all the time !!! =:>)
