I tried installation of Oracle 9i on Solaris 9. After I run the script runInstaller, it print out many error message, "Font specified in font.properties not found ...". However installation GUI still is displayed.

How to solve this problem?

Thank you for your help,
Iris

First, you have to make sure you are running a font server on the Solaris box.

Then configure your X server to see that font server.
Add the <missing font> directory (fonts which is reported missing) (/usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/<missing font> in your case) to the fontserver.cfg file
in /usr/openwin/lib/X11.

If you still have some Oracle installation problems, search for "oracle installation" Here

Hope that helps,
