Hi,
I have installed Oracle 8.1.7 on Sun Solaris 8 server. The oracle installation process said it has been completed successfully. But when i tried to connect to the oracle server using SQLPLUS it gives the foll. mesg:
"Message file sp1<lang>.msb not found
Error 6 initializing SQL*Plus"
Did i miss anything during configuration. Could any of you help me in fixing this problem. Your immediate response is greatly appreciated.

hi,
This error indicates that,
your sql plus component is corrupted..u can solve this proble, by keeping the CD again , go to the custom installation and select only SQL * Plus and perform the installation.
I Think this should solve u r problem.
