Hello dear Oracle Forum,

I would like to know if it is better to extend the existing tablespace when it is getting full or to create a new datafile within that tablespace???

Makes no real difference. Depending on the OS, there is a filesize limitation. You also stand a better chance of Oracle finding a larger extent with a larger filesize, but that's about it.
