I have read about generic connectivity and tranasparent gateways...

If a have correctly understood this is the solution i have to use...???

when i make use of hsodbc i don't make use of odbc?

what else do i have to make or what i have to make at all?

Can you be more specific or can you describe be what i have to add and change?
