I want to host a portal which uses Oracle 8i database in the back-end. I want to disallow 'connect internal' to my database to secure my database, in case some one breaks through other barriers. I created a new password file with a different password than the default, but when I say connect internal, it still logs on without prompting for a password.

What do I need to do to make Oracle prompt for a password and only authenticated users connect to the database as a DBA.

thanxs,
vishal
