im trying to export data from Oracle db release 8.1.6
i had the message:
EXP-0037 export views not compatible with database version

i executed the scripts: catalog.sql, catproc.sql
i had this error:
ORA-00604: error occured at recursive sql level 1
ORA-00904: invalid column name
in many statements in the scripts of catalog.sql and catproc.sql
and the export operation did not work.
any idea ??

are u using a version of export utility against a different version of database?
if so,
always use the same version or lower version of exp/imp utilities against the database.
