Hello,
Am seeing lots of ORA-00604 and ORA-01594 errors in Alert log file. This is after a succesful restart of the Oracle server. I am running 9i version 9.0.1.0.0. See extract of log file below:

Is there anything I need to do to increase extents for the rollback segments? These errors appear to occur hourly since Sat 29th November.
I am also seeing: "found dead shared server 'S000', pid = (8, 1)" in the same logs - what does this mean?

Apparently, it is a known issue on 9.0.1.x.x releases. These symptoms have been reported as bug 1799630 and many duplicate bugs (like 2209935).
The best you can do is apply the latest patchset. I believe 9.0.1.4 is the latest available (for most common os).
Go to MetaLink and download the latest patchset for you system.
