i tried to connect erwin desing tool to oracle 9i thru odbc.i created one DSN and tested its ok but i am not able to connect to oracle.i tested all odbc providers for oracle microsoft odbc for oracle,
oracle for oracle92, odbc for oracle rdb,
but its not giving any errors
pls hlp

Hi,
Can u explain little more that wht exactly is happening if it is not giving u any error? I think it should show some error if anything is going wrong at either side.

hi
my problem is i am using designer tool Erwin to modeling.When i am trying to connect oracle9i server i am not able to connect.its not showing any error.i am giving username,password and connect string.The sqlplus tool is working properly.its just gives one blink
no error message.the i created one DSN the tesing connection is working properly andagain i am not able to connect

Hi..
What version of Erwin tool u r using ??
To connect to Oracle 9i, u need to have greater versions of ERwin 3.5
Provide connect string value (as in TNSNames.ora file)instead of DSN name.
Hope this helps.
