Can I use Oracle to automatically expire logon IDs that have been idle (meaning have not logged-on for X-amount of days) ? If a supervisor does not inform us that an employee has left the company it would be nice to have Oracle auto-clean these user IDs after they have not logged-on in 7 days or so.

you can setup database auditing (audit session) and setup a job that can lock users whose sysdate-timestamp > (threshold_number_of_days)
