Use pro*c. You have examples in $ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc/
(you need to install the programming tools first).

You can find OCI examples in :
$ORACLE_HOME/product/x.x.x/rdbms/demo

Have a look at cdemo81.c and at demo_rdbms.mk

Laurent

You need the proC precompiler to use Oracle statements in a C program.
You can find documentation about it at http://oradoc.photo.net/ora8doc/DOC/server803/A54661_01/toc.htm

Sir This can be done through SQLAPI functions. These can be downloaded from www.SQLAPI.com. One of the dll file is to be included and using Borland C++ compiler we can connect to any type of database. Go to the website for further details. Bye
