Hi all, Iam trying install Oracle 8.1.7 in RedHat7.2. I install everything including the RedHat6.2 packages and Java2 as suggested in some websites. Everything goes well until it comes to the Net8 Assistant configuration and hangs there. The Database configuration part works well. When I try to run the server Manager through the svrmgrl, it says it doesnot recognise the command. I would appreciate if somebody can tell me what I should do to solve the problem.

You need to apply patch for bug 1467074 as the oracle OS user. Oracle technet has the patch for linux.
