Hi, I have 2 very basic questions:
1) Is it possible to set up a user on an Oracle dB who has read-only access? (I presume it is but just want to be sure)
2) Are there any reasons why the admin would not want to set up such a user?
The user is allowed to view all data on the dB already, what I want to do is get them access through ODBC. All database queries for this user would be handled at night by a chron job so response times etc. are not an issue.
