Can any one explain what is the maximum size for SGA in linux(Linux 64-bit o/s).I know that it cannot be more than 1.7GB in case of 32bit Linux o/s,but the same is not true for linux 64bit o/s.So what is the maximum SGA size we can give in Linux 64bit operating system.
Thank You

GOOGLE is you friend, but only if you use it!
Results 1 - 10 of about 44,900 for linux very large SGA oracle

P.S.
Larger SGA does not always mean better performance.
Sometimes larger SGA makes performance worse.
