Hi all...

I need to add some features to an existing oracle installation, but when I run runInstaller, it crashes with a message in a log telling something about initial parameters. I believe it is due to the inventory problem, since oracle thinks that those features are already installed, while they are not.

Note : I have removed oraInventory directory and the problem still persists.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance,
Jaime

Here is what we do not know.
OS flavor or version
Oracle flavor and version.
Actual error messages in log file.

For some unexplained reason you think it is an "inventory problem"
The first rule you should follow when you find yorself in a hole is to "STOP DIGGING"!
By removing the inventory directory, you have violated that rule.
