Hi,

I am trying to install oracle 9.2 in RHEL4 and i am getting error:

Configuration Tools: Tool Name: Oracle Net Configuration Asistent mam status Failed, a Details: /home/oracle/jre/1.1.8/bin/.../lib/i688/native_threads/libzip.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time referenced (libzip.so). Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread. Could not create java VM.
and

Does "libzip.so" exist on your system?
If so, where?
If not, why not?

"libzip.so" exist on my system in home/oracle/jre/1.1.8/bin/.../lib/i688/green_threads/libzip.so

When network configuration assistant and database configuration assistant has failed during startup then do following steps:


cd /opt/oracle/920
rm JRE
ln -s /opt/jre1.3.1_15 JRE
su -
# cd /opt/oracle/920/JRE/bin
# ln -s java jre
# cd i386/native_threads
# ln -s java jre
